Skirt Steak and Chimichurri Pizza
A pizza loaded with chimichurri instead of sauce, and lots of marinated flank steak.
Ingredients
- 1 Bunch Fresh Parsley
- 1/2 Bunch Fresh Basil
- 5 Sprigs Fresh Oregano
- 1 Clove Garlic
- Olive Oil
- Salt
- 2 Cloves Garlic
- 1/4 Cup Red Vinegar
- 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire
- 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons Honey
- 1 Flank Steak
- Pizza Dough
- Cheese
Instructions
- Throw the herbs into a food processor with garlic and oilive oil and pulse to make the sauce. Marinade a skirt steak with garlic, some vinegar, worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and a little honey. Sear the steak about 5-6 minutes a side to a medium doneness. Cut against the grain into thin strips. Make the pizza with chimichuri instead of sauce and top with cheese. Cook at high heat and add the steak when it comes out of the oven.
Notes
I was craving pizza big time this week and I had to do something about it. This pizza with chimichurri as the sauce has been on my to-do list for probably about a year, and believe me it was worth the wait. Herby, garlicy, and loaded with olive oil, the chimichurri was a perfect fit on this pizza.
