Clam Chowder Hot Dogs
I saw my friend The Vulgar Chef dip a hot dog in a cup of clam chowder and honestly it changed my life. I made these right after I saw it. I used a can of clam chowder and it came out great, but it would also be good with homemade, takeout, or leftovers. The key is that the clam chowder is super thick. You want it to be thick enough to stay on top of the dogs.

I cooked these dogs with the bacon so the bacon fat could coat them nicely.

Pop them into perfectly buttered and griddled rolls. Ideally you want New England Split Top Style.

Then smother on the chowder.

Top with chowder toppings like bacon, scallions, and oyster crackers.

Excellent.

Hot Dogs and Clam Chowder – the match we never knew we needed in our lives.
