Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups clam chowder
  • 8 strips bacon
  • 8 hot dogs
  • 8 hot dog buns
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • oyster crackers
  • 4 chives sliced thin

Instructions

  • Use your favorite clam chowder, homemade or a can. Make sure it is a pretty thick one though so it stays on top of the dogs. Warm it up in a pan while you make everything else.
  • Cook the bacon in a pan until crisp. Remove and add the hot dogs. Cook about 5 minutes to brown on all sides and warm through.
  • Add the butter to a pan and cook the buns in the butter on all sides until golden.
  • Put the dogs in the buns, top with the chowder, then the bacon, then the crackers, then the chives
