Clam Chowder Hot Dog
A bacon fried hot dog topped with creamy clam chowder, bacon, oyster crackers, and scallions

- 1.5 cups clam chowder
- 8 strips bacon
- 8 hot dogs
- 8 hot dog buns
- 2 tablespoons butter
- oyster crackers
- 4 chives sliced thin
Use your favorite clam chowder, homemade or a can. Make sure it is a pretty thick one though so it stays on top of the dogs. Warm it up in a pan while you make everything else.
Cook the bacon in a pan until crisp. Remove and add the hot dogs. Cook about 5 minutes to brown on all sides and warm through.
Add the butter to a pan and cook the buns in the butter on all sides until golden.
Put the dogs in the buns, top with the chowder, then the bacon, then the crackers, then the chives
