Pulled Pork Cheeseburger Sliders with Pineapple and Jalapeno

Juicy sweet and savory pulled pork loaded on top of cheeseburger sliders and topped with jalapeno and grilled pineapple might just be the best gametime snack ever. They are topped with two of my favorite things to eat with pulled pork – jalapenos and pineapple. Sweet, spicy, and super savory, which is the exact balance I am looking for in a snack while I am watching a game. But I am wondering, since they are pretty large for a slider, are they technically large sliders or small burgers?
Grill the pineapple
Grill the pineapple to get those perfect grill marks. First, brush them with oil and season with salt and pepper, then get them on a very hot grill. Rotate to grill on all sides. You could put them on a skewer too if it is easier for you. I kept these in chunks, but thinner slices might sit better on top of the pulled pork cheeseburger sliders.

Cook the cheeseburgers
Grill the burgers to a perfect medium temperature. Top with cheese right after flipping. These are 2.5 oz burger patties that I made the same size as the buns I bought.

Build the pulled pork cheeseburger sliders
Stir together some mayo and bbq sauce. Grill the buns, and put some of the mayo bbq mix on both top and bottom buns. Then put the cheeseburger on the bottom slider bun and the cheese will hold the pulled pork in place.

The pulled pork goes on top of the cheeseburger.

Pineapple and jalapeno, and then the top bun. Load it up!

Serving the pulled pork cheeseburger sliders
These things don’t need anything else for sauce because they are crazy juicy and bursting with flavor. What they do need though is a nice cold beer served alongside.

Make these pulled pork cheeseburger sliders for your next tailgate or party and you and your guests won’t be disappointed.

Twists on this recipe
I wrote the recipe for pulled pork cheeseburger sliders starting out with prepared pulled pork. If you want to make a smoked version, this is a great recipe. This one is perfect for the oven.
Or use your favorite recipe! These would also be great with mango on top. Crispy onions would be great too. You could swap the fresh jalapeno for pickled, or just use pickles if you prefer!
