Dumpling Shots!

These shots use a wonton wrapper steamed into a dumpling shape as a shot glass

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 12 wonton wrappers
  • 3 ounces whiskey
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon hot honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat the steamer basket over a pot with water
  • Brush one side of the wonton wrapper with water. Fold small bits of the edges of the wonton wrapper over itself. Repeat to form the ruffled edges all around the wonton wrapper, and form the cavity / glass shape. Press it into a shot glass to further form and solidify the shape.
  • Tepeat with as many shot glasses you have.
  • Place the shot glasses with the wonton wrappers in them into the steamer. Steam 8 minutes.
  • Flip and steam the glasses upside down for 5 minutes.
  • Finally, remove the wrappers from the glasses and steam them right side up for 5 more minutes.
  • Remove the wontons from the steamer and arrange on a plate. Repeat the process if you need to make more.
  • Add the whiskey, lemon, hot honey, and soy sauce to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake for a few minutes, then pour the shots into the wonton wrappers.
  • Serve!
