Pineapple Salsa Dogs
When I first tried hot dogs infused with jalapeno flavor, I immediately thought of putting pineapple on them. If you read this site much, you probably know that bacon, pineapple, and jalapeno are one of my favorite flavor combinations. But you probably also know that I couldn’t just throw some pineapple on there and call it a day, I had to do something more fun and interesting. I ended up making a nice simple salsa with pineapple and avocado that paired perfectly with the dogs.
Slice up the pineapple first and then dice it into small cubes.
Avocado next. Be gentle with it, you want to make salsa, not guac.
A little garlic, onion, and cilantro to finish the salsa.
Then just load the salsa on top!
The perfect combo of sweet, spicy, and salty.
And the avocado adds a nice creamy texture to the whole thing. Make sure you grill up the buns too!
This is the perfect twist for your next dogs!
