Kale Banana Blueberry Smoothie

    Since New Years Day, I’ve lost about 30 pounds. I haven’t done anything drastic. I’ve still cooked and eaten things like Lucky Charms Cheesecake, Hamburger Helper Sushi, and Pierogi Lasagna. I just made it a point to cut out some unnecessary meat, wheat, and dairy, during breakfast and lunch on most days.  I also drank whiskey instead of beer.  It’s a tough life I know.  All week this week, I will be posting some of the super healthy dishes that have gotten me through the past few months and I think have really helped with the weight loss. This smoothie is a 6 day a week routine and really kicks the day off right and keeps me full until lunch.

    Kale, carrot, and celery juice.

    In a blender with some ice, banana, blueberry, cherry, and yogurt.

    A little chia seeds and cayenne.

    Then just blend it up!

    I loooooveeeee this smoothie and it really energizes me for the day!

    And surprisingly keeps me full until lunch.

    Makes about 6 cups of smoothie, enough for breakfast for 2 people.
    3 carrots
    4 stalks of kale
    1 stalk of celery
    Juice above ingredients
    In a blender, add about 5 ice cubes, 2 bananas, a cup of blueberries, a cup of frozen cherries, 1/4 cup of yogurt, 2 tablespoons chia seeds, a teaspoon of cayenne, and the juice from above. Blend until smooth and most of the seeds have been broken.

    Ingredients

    • 3 Carrots
    • 4 Stalks Kale
    • 1 Stalk Celery
    • 5 Cubes Ice
    • 2 Bananas
    • 1 Cup Blueberries
    • 1 Cup Frozen Cherries
    • 1/4 Cup Yogurt
    • 2 Tablespoons Chia Seeds
    • 1 Teaspoon Cayenne
    • For: 2 People
    • Preparation: 15 min
    • Ready in: 15 min

    Instructions

    1. Juice celery, kale, and carrot.
    2. Add everything to the blender including the veggie juice. Blend smooth.
