The Last Pizza Party

One of the biggest things I will miss in Bermuda is my brick oven. I built this thing and have only had a year to enjoy it! I knew going into it that I would really only have a year or so with the oven. I have always considered this my practice pizza oven, with many others to follow. We needed to have one final pizza party to say goodbye to the oven. Mandi and I decided to take this as an opportunity to try out some weirder toppings we haven’t had a chance to do yet. We even asked some friends to bring over their favorite ingredients for us to throw on the pizzas. All in all, it was a great goodbye to the oven.

Fried some fries for the French fry pizza. Yep. The French fry pizza. These are just from a bag from the freezer. I find that the frozen fries work well when you fry them instead of baking them. That’s not to say that it isn’t worth it to make your own fries sometimes, just not most of the time. It’s a lot of work!

All the toppings set up in Mandi’s station. Mandi makes the pizzas, and I bring them to the oven.

I have a feeling Iris will not like me putting this picture up on here, but I like it so I am leaving it! It looks like she is having a good time.

Felicia brought us some delicious chicken curry to put on one of the pizzas.

So here is the famed French fry pizza. This was a favorite of many people, especially Elaine!

Single tear. I will miss you pizza oven.

This is a pizza Amy invented. The Cuban. Pulled pork, ham, swiss, and pickles! Squeeze on some mustard after it cooks.

I think this pizza was the crowd favorite. Look at that charring!

Penne Pizza. We made it with this pasta, sans shrimp.

Felicia’s curry pizza. I just happened to have some fresh paneer in the fridge. Always be prepared right?

Yum. This was Amy’s Korean pizza with beef and kimchi.
