Note from Dan: This is a guest quiz from my good friend Mike. You may know Mike from such posts as New Years Eve 2007, Cookin' up some Quack, and Chimi-Turkey. A few weeks ago, Mike and I were joking about some funny lines from rappers about food. Like most quizzes on TFIMB, this one starts out with some easy ones, but gets really hard at the end! Hearing these silly lyrics not only makes me laugh, but it makes me think of my good friend Dan and his delicious food blog. I thought it would be fun to share some of these lyrics with you all, and to quiz you at the same time. Have fun, and remember that you need to freestyle the answers (the artist and the song name). For those who don't know what I mean, it means this: the answers have to come from your head, not google.

There are a few repeat rappers, ---- means a beeped out a swear, but ____ means they said their own name. There are still some swears and drug references in here so proceed with caution. There are also NO Beastie Boys because they were already EXTENSIVELY covered here.

Food on cartoons is SOO delicious looking. I have compiled 17 of the most tantalizing treats ever put to paper and shown on screen (big and small). Its your job to figure out what cartoon these come from! I cut wide on a few shots to give you guys hints, so scan these pics well! I think this is a pretty easy quiz, so I am going to give you a grading scale that looks like this:

16 - 17: Yabadabadoo!
12 - 15: Cowabunga!
9 - 11: Eat my shorts.
Less than 8: You're not fat, just big boned.

I have a new quiz for you today. This is a tough one, but I am really happy with how it came out.

RULES: There are 2 points on each picture, 1 for naming the character, and one for naming their restaurant, or where they work. A perfect score is 32, but if I were to take this (before doing all the research and finding the pictures), I would get a 24. I watch a lot of TV, so lets say:

24 - 32 - Genius
15 - 24 - Pretty good
10 - 15 - Average
Less then 10 - what do you do with your time? Read? Pssh!

Remember, don't cheat on Google!!!! I will find out.

As fans of TFIMB know, I like to make the occasional quiz for people to send to their friends and challenge each other.  This one popped into my head yesterday and I whipped it up for you all!  Name the celebrity chef or show based on their kitchen or workspace!  sorry some are so blurry! I had to rip a few off you tube.

Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone, I was planning on cooking something themed for this day but unfortunately I've been pretty busy and also out of my element working in a foreign kitchen (more on this later).

Just a quick comment, I'm proud to say TFIMB has been featured this week on the threadless website because Mandi was wearing one of their shirts in some pictures.

Because last week was recipe intensive, there won't be as many actual recipes this week, but I have some other stuff planned.  Here is a quiz I made for my friends recently where you need to identify the ingredient or food in each picture.  There are 15 pictures, this one is fairly easy but I may put up "round 2" if people are interested.  This is a good thing to challenge your friends with, and if you like it, check out this candy one I posted earlier.

Some friends of mine pass around quizzes to each other certain days of the week. Yesterday I sent them this quiz and I thought I would share it with you. I got this idea from an episode of Seinfeld where George makes a line up of candy bars to see if a guy can pick out the Twix. That is why there are a few different candies on here that also relate to Seinfeld episodes.
