Cereal Donut Holes

Catching up on some Tablespoon posts (since I didn't post one during sellout week), today we have delicious Cereal Donuts flavored with Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Trix, and Cocoa Puffs. The flavor isn't only on top, but throughout the donut, cause I used ground cereal instead of flour. As you could probably imagine, these tasted amazing fresh from the fryer. I ate like 10 no joke.

don't doubt these were amazing -- just made cereal inspired cupcakes -- went for trix and cookie crisp....

Really like the idea of mixing cereal in with standard recipes, especially cereal milk! My boss had the idea of selling cereal milk in bottles once and I think it's genius...

Anyways, I tried making these with cocoa pebbles which are a rice based cereal and they became really soggy really fast. I had to add almost another half cup of flour to get them to form into balls. Do you think this has something to do with the type of grain used for the cereal?

Trix and Cocoa Puffs are corn, and cinnamon toast crunch is wheat and rice, whereas cocoa pebbles are strictly rice

Thanks for the inspiration
