What is this sauce? (Besides Delicious)

No seriously. What is it? I set out trying to make a pesto with sesame seeds and arugula. Cause honestly arugula and sesame seeds taste exactly the same.  So after I started with that, I added garlic and some dried chile and it started to taste more like harissa, with a little hummus/shwarma flavor from the sesame seed. It was becoming super bitter, so I added some lemon, a little sugar and a big scoop of yogurt. Now it was starting to veer into tatziki territory. So what is it? harrzimusto?

These were the initial ingredients.

This came out SO GOOD. Really. I think its a new breed of sauce.

Best candy cane ever. No for real im obsessed with skirt steak right now. Pretty much every summer I cant get enough of it.

After marinading the steak, grill it for about 3 or 4 minutes a side to a nice medium.

I put a spoonful of the sauce into the rice while it cooked. It came out awesome!  Then top the steak with it.

This meal was awesome and a great summer dish for a BBQ.  Great unique flavor combos. Can someone name this sauce?

About 4 dried new mexico chiles, 3 cloves garlic, one bunch of arugula, zest and juice from one lemon, ½ cup sesame seeds, 1 cup yogurt, pinch of sugar and salt, and sesame oil. You know, in a blender, etc.

For the skirt steak, marinade it in some worchestershire sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, grated garlic and onion, and sugar

This looks sooooooo good!
I'd have to make it with coconut milk yogurt (my man has a dairy allergy), but I bet it'd still be pretty damn tasty!

best candy cane ever just made me laugh so hard. that looks so good.

Did you toast the chiles/sesame seeds before blending, or just straight in?

I'm not sure harrzimusto is a good name because it's kinda hard to pronounce. The double R's are tripping me up. But, this sauce does sound delicious!! Especially because it's on top of steak that's on top of rice, and I basically drool over anything on top of rice.
