Dropped my yen, Into the ticket machine, Just gettin' some noodles, The place wasn't too clean. Just tried to help my man out, But he started breakin fool, goin' off on SOBA VIOLENCE! Soba Violence is a lesser known B-side punk song from the Beastie Boys, listen to it at the bottom of the post! This song didn't make it in my catalog of Beastie food references because I only listed albums. If you guys notice, my past 5 recipes have been either grilled or cold. Its soooo hot out! I think soba noodles are generally better cold anyways. I enjoyed this dish and the homemade noodles really made it stand out. Next time I would make them a little thinner though.

3 cups of buckwheat flour, about a cup of ap flour, and some water.

While the dough rested a bit, I prepped some other stuff. I cooked these shrimp with salt, pepper and olive oil for about 10 minutes on 350. I also poured some hot vinegar over peppers to make a quick pickle, and chopped up some other ingredients.

The soba.

I had some leftover tzatziki from last week so I used that and celery to make a quick shrimp salad.

Mango really made this dish.

Scallions and the pickled peppers I mentioned earlier.

Let it get nice and cold in the fridge before serving!

My pictures have been a little shakey on here lately, but I am slowly getting used to the lighting and stuff in my apartment, and slowly getting all my plates and bowls, so it should be improving!

Tasty and refreshing.
Since this is a b-side and was all over the internet when I googled it, I figured it was ok to stream it here, but if it's not cool, web sheriff, or capitol records, or mailer daemon, or Lars Ulrich, or Adrock himself can let me know.
The noodles were 3 cups buckwheat flour and 1 cup ap flour. Add salt and slowly add water until it is a firm dough. Knead this for 5 minutes. Bring rice vinegar to a boil and pour over sliced chiles. Let them sit for a half hour. Cook shrimp with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix with tzatziki and celery. I used this tzatziki(unfrozen). In a cup mix some grated ginger and garlic, sesame oil, soy sauce, sraracha, and honey. Cut noodles and boil. Rinse with cold water so that they don't become starchy and slimy. Add some of your sauce and the shrimp mixture. Add more sauce if you need to. Add chopped mangos, scallions, and the pickled peppers form before. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed!
